EDIT: Added more texture and a pattern to her kimono. Enriched the color of her clothing and added some patterns to a couple of the pillows. I don't want to make it too saturated as Steampunk colors are often more muted. But I think the red kimono now brings out her lips and beads. :heart:


I've had this concept in my head for a while now. A geisha in the steampunk genre, living in a submarine. Not only do you pay for some company, but you get one hell of a ride (and stealthy too -- perfect for those shady clientele). :D

Technically she is an Oiran, but people are more familiar with the term "geisha" and that's why I titled it what I did. :aww:

Cool I don't get to see Geisha done in steampunk often, if at all. It's a unique idea paired with a good eye to detail.

I couldnt accomplish a portrait that combines geisha with a sujet of an anglo-european theme. i worked on victorian themed browsergame, but this style-combination - it wouldnt look as suiting well as this labor when done by me ^^'

I really love her boots the pipe it's all great and the fact you did an oiran she's beautiful. I love how you know the difference between geisha and oiran!
